Through the ‘Scholarships for Girls’ Subprogramme, we witness how the true impact of a scholarship is not always reflected in a grade, but in the small changes that strengthen each girl’s life and enable her to move forward with greater confidence towards her dreams.
During this first semester, we have seen how, thanks to the support and guidance received by scholarship recipients and the invaluable support of our donors, many girls continue to strengthen habits that foster their continued school attendance and holistic development.
One of the most significant advances has been consistent class attendance. Despite the challenges faced by many families in rural areas, the girls demonstrate commitment to their education, understanding that each day of learning represents a new opportunity to build a better future.
We have also seen a greater sense of responsibility in completing assignments and school activities. Scholarship recipients show greater interest in fulfilling their academic commitments, developing habits that will serve them throughout their lives.
Another very valuable change is their participation in the classroom. Many girls who previously remained silent are now expressing their opinions, asking questions and enthusiastically taking part in the activities proposed by their teachers. This growth reflects the confidence they have gradually developed in their abilities.
The support provided by instructors has also helped strengthen the relationship between the girls and their families. Through home visits, meetings and opportunities for dialogue, parents increasingly recognise the importance of supporting their daughters’ educational journey, creating family environments where they feel heard and motivated.
As a result of this process, we have seen an increase in the scholarship recipients’ self-esteem. Every assignment completed, every contribution made in class and every goal achieved shows them that they are capable of learning, overcoming challenges and believing in themselves.
These advances may seem small when viewed individually; however, they are steady steps that, over time, transform each girl’s life. Thanks to your generous support, you make it possible for beneficiaries not only to remain in school, but also to develop the confidence, motivation and tools they need to become women capable of transforming their surroundings.
