Oliver Racancoj is originally from the city of Quetzaltenango. He is 37 years old and has been with the Foundation for 7 years, currently serving as Deputy Coordinator in the Software Development Department.
What motivates Oliver most about being part of FUNDAP is that every task serves a purpose, always leading to a positive outcome for those we work with. In his role, he has the opportunity to create and adapt digital tools that make it easier for other colleagues to carry out their fieldwork.
One of the most satisfying aspects of his work, he says, is that beneficiaries see FUNDAP as a place of opportunity—a space to learn and start something new. Thanks to the different platforms developed and maintained by his team, collaborators across various projects and programs are able to reach those beneficiaries more effectively and efficiently.
Oliver shares that what he values most about his job is the daily opportunity to improve, to keep growing both personally and professionally, and to embrace each day with a deep sense of belonging to the Foundation.
For those unfamiliar with FUNDAP, Oliver describes the work as impactful achievements, where nothing is wasted. “We support our beneficiaries by doing what we love most. Everything we create has a direct or indirect impact, always aligned with the Foundation’s mission—developing tools that serve a greater purpose,” he concludes.
