BEATRIZ XON, FUNDAP Education

My name is Beatriz Xon, and I am originally from Tecpán, Chimaltenango. I currently work as an instructor at the Business School within the Education program. My role at the institution is to provide financial and business training to entrepreneurs, giving them tools that contribute to the sustainability of their microenterprises as a means of improving their quality of life and that of their families.

I got to know FUNDAP ten years ago through a friend, who shared with me the job opportunity for the instructor position. I started the selection process without imagining that this experience would transform my life — it has allowed me to develop both personal and professional skills, strengthening my growth and my vocation of service, especially toward the people I work with.

What has always struck me about the work we do at FUNDAP is the respect for human dignity, along with the love and passion with which all of us carry out our duties, always looking after the well-being of the communities.

Beyond my role, I see myself as a determined, committed woman with a deep desire to support others. I am a wife, an entrepreneur, and the mother of two daughters, who are my greatest motivation; I aspire to be an example for them and for other women.

One of the experiences that has left the deepest mark on my life was the opportunity to support a person going through severe depression. From that experience, I came to understand that our work goes beyond technical training — it also transforms lives and has a positive impact on the way people think and act.

For me, being part of FUNDAP is a great privilege, because it allows me to devote myself to something I am deeply passionate about: serving others.

The message I want to share with the new generations of collaborators is that we should work with honesty, responsibility, and kindness, aware that every action we take has a direct impact on the lives of the people around us. For me, FUNDAP means opportunity, personal growth, and service.
