My name is Micaela and I am a Nursing assistant who graduated from the FUNDAP school. I reside in Concepción Chiquirichapa, Quetzaltenango.
The task of studying nursing was hard, but the affection and gratitude I felt from the patients made it worth it for me. I think I was born to take care of people, to make things easier for others, and to heal the sick.
At the end of my training I looked for an opportunity in different health institutions, while I continued getting up at 5am every morning to work with my mom in the field. Everything changed when I received a call from a government agency, asking me to show up the next day and have an interview.
Thanks to the training I received, I was able to start working at this health institution. In addition to serving others, I can financially contribute to my household.
