I am Rosa Torres and I am 32 years old, I am a housewife and I live in Paxmaramac Village (Momostenango). I have a piece of forest from which I had never obtained any economic benefit, but thanks to FUNDAP, and in collaboration with the European Union, we received support in the preparation of a forest management plan, technical assistance and accompaniment. This consisted of entering the forestry incentive program for owners of small extensions of land with forestry vocation PINPEP, which, for ten consecutive years, will provide us with an annual incentive payment.
With the first payment I decided to invest in the purchase of laying hens and turkeys for the sale of eggs, meat and live birds. All of this has been of great benefit, since I have been able to generate economic income, helping my family to sustain itself and improving our quality of life.
